i remember when i was 10 when once i had no choice but to pull out my painful tooth with the help of a piece of string and a door leaf, and angrily decided to throw it as far as possible away from me after it had been giving me weeks of horrific nightmares, when suddenly my mum asked me what would be my future dreamed profession?. she advised me not to throw away the loosen tooth BUT to keep it somewhere in the house which could possibly makes my dream come true. she advised me to insert/hide the tooth in between the wall timber boarding if my dreamed profession was an architect [probably if you dream to be a singer insert your trouble tooth inside your mum's old speaker boxes ... he, he, he . . ]. my mother knew that i was pretty good [bolehlah sikit2 . . .] at drawings and had for many times being told of my dreamed future profession i.e an architect.
in Islamic Teachings, we are not allowed to believe in others other than Allah Himself. Only Allah decides what our future would be. i would surely not going to say as the result of the above incident or act, that, i am NOW is an architect. what I knew Allah had given me opportunities for me to pursue various level of architectural trainings and courses [after gone through all the endurances of being architectural student – i think most of you architects out there will agree with me that architectural courses is one and the only one toughest course . . . . argh!] here at last, i am thankfully praised Allah for His will to have let me be what I wanted to be i.e an architect, [one of] THE BEST profession in this world.
believe me, you probably would not be a successfully [rich?] architect but if you are an architect as what an architect is supposed to be, that is really what a successful architect is all about.

betul, sy tak prnah terfikir untuk menjadi seorang arkitek.. masa mula2 dapat blajar course nih, janggal gak...sy menulis teruk, buruk.. melukis pon tak chantek sgt..
cuma sy sukakan cara seorang arkitek buat kerja, sbb imaginasi + idea + knowledge blend 2gether to create sumthin..
jika seorang doktor, bangga kerana kebijakan mengenai dalaman tubuh manusia..
arkitek patut berbangga kerana explorasinya tak terbatas dek apa2 bidang..
Nice blog & sketch up..Maybe you can be my mentor in architectural profession..
Feel free ti visit my blog at www.cetusan-bukitsubang.blogspot.com
Let us deal with problems the creative way. Never burden our life with unnecessary problems. Never let your mind kososng tanpa berfikir NANTI banyak penyakit yang tidak diundang datang.
To Shamsul! Terima kasih! Jadi MENTOR?. Alamak jangan macam tu. Saya masih banyak mahu belajar. Sebenarnya ilmu tidak boleh disimpan. Sebenarnya saya masih tak cekap guna 'Sketch Up'. Maklumlah generasi saya dulu zaman tak ade komputer. Tapi oleh kerana 'Sketch Up' ni memang a 'WONDER' mudah digunakan jadi saya gunakan pengalaman dulu-dulu ketika lukis PERSPEKTIF secara manual untuk buat 3D drawings guna 'Sketch-Up' ni. Yang penting kita ade basic in arts. Kan kita dah diajar kat Universiti dulu-dulu. So, jangan takut explore habis-habis. Saya suka 'Sketch-Up' sebab dia nampak sketchy tak 'glossy' macam image '3D Studio'dan lain2 software 3D yang lebih dasyat sekarang ni. Lagipun our intention is to design not to merely illustrate so 'Sketch-Up' is a good design tool for Architects - Fast and Pricise. Saya masih tak pandai guna 'Photoshop' mungkin kalau ade peluang kita duduk bincang2 and explore the potential of all of these softwares to produce good pieces of architectural art works! amacam boleh? Terima kasih.
Sketchup dengan Photoshop memang best. Perspective nampak hidup. Kalau pakai Photoshop kita boleh masukkan macam-macam material dalam plan kita + shading pada elevation, tak kaku macam AutoCad.
